An Existential Orientation

My orientation is existential, in that I believe that  our struggles are often expressions of the challenge of living with awareness of both the limitations and the possibilities in life. Suffering can be an indication of a crisis of meaning. Therapy, even when it starts as a complaint about a 'symptom,' can  support our quest for meaning in our lives. The process can include such questions as, "What is it that I really care about? Is my life aligned with my values? What must I do, how must I live until I die?"
