Jon Roth
In the years before entering graduate school for counseling psychology, I earned my livelihood doing carpentry, gardening, farm work, and hospice work. Since 1994, Buddhist practice has been a focus. I have spent significant periods in retreat over the years, including 3 months of 2018. My Buddhist studies have included intensive practice in Theravadin and Zen schools as well as some instruction in Tibetan Dzogchen and Mahamudra styles. I worked in the San Francisco, CA community behavioral health system between 2002 and 2016, and was a therapist at the Tenderloin Outpatient Clinic for 9 of those years. I recently served 1 1/2 years as a Retreat Support fellow at the Insight Meditation Society in Barre, Massachusetts.
